National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia
Breast cancer is still one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in Australia. In one calendar year it will claim 3,000 lives, which is 8 women every day. The data shows that the rate of breast cancer is increasing – meaning more of the women and their friends and families are being impacted.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia (NBCF) use funds raised to invest in identifying, funding and championing world class research aimed at early detection and improved treatments which save lives. To date they have funded over 534 breast cancer research projects, and have seen many successes. This still isn’t enough.
Despite the odds, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with the help of donations, are fighting towards zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
