Founded by Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin, the GO Foundation focuses on Indigenous youth education and their progression into meaningful employment.
Through their scholarship program the GO Foundation provides support for Indigenous students, covering the cost of their educational needs such as books, learning support, computers, Wi-Fi access, sporting equipment, musical instruments and more. Further to that, through corporate partners the GO Foundation connects these student to employment or further study opportunities. The Go Foundation call this their Ecosystem, creating vast support networks that ultimately empower scholarship students to work hard, and better their outcomes.
The GO Foundation standby their commitment to strong cultural identity. Through their own research, the GO Foundation have found a correlation between strong cultural identity and achievement in education or training by Indigenous students. They have made it their mission to help young Indigenous people connect with their history, heritage and culture in a meaningful and fulfilling way.
